18 Apr 2024Colts by our shuttle stallion Hello Youmzain were keenly sought after during the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale at Newmarket and the Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale at Doncaster.
The multiple Group 1 winner’s top offering, already named Mylenstein, was offered by Yeomanstown Stud at Tattersalls and knocked down to Megan Nicholls for 220,000gns (NZ$485,000).
“He’ll be going to Charlie Hills and hopefully it will be a lot of fun,” she said.
“He has showed a great attitude and I got him out a couple of times and he was very straightforward and very sound.
“He had a really good vibe about him, a real swing of his hip and a beautiful walk, and a real athlete so we’re all looking forward to getting him going.”
The colt is from the family of the Group 1 winner and champion sire Monsun, who has been an outstanding source of stamina but Nicholls is expecting the Hello Youmzain factor to be the major influence.
“He’s all power with a really big hind quarter and I think he will be really sharp,” she said.
“There is loads of improvement still to come, he’s got a big frame to fill so I imagine he will be starting when the six-furlong races start to open up.”
Hello Youmzain's top lot at Goffs was a Kilminfoyle House Stud-consigned colt signed for by Blandford Bloodstock's Richard Brown for £220,000 (NZ$460,000).
The son of Royal Applause mare Bibery is a half-brother to Gr.3 winner Steel of Madrid.
Another son of Hello Youmzain to spark major interest was consigned by Ireland’s CF Bloodstock in Newmarket and secured by Blandford Bloodstock for 200,000gns (NZ$440,000).
He is a half-brother to stakes performer Verimli with the Group 1 winners Valanour and Vayrann featuring on his pedigree page.
